Every year, thousands of people gather in Toronto for a weekend dedicated to luxury living, innovative design and inspiring conversations. But what many don’t see is what it actually takes to bring an event of this scale to life.
The Design is in the Details
The Living Luxe Design Show has quickly become one of Canada’s premier luxury lifestyle events, bringing together homeowners, industry professionals, architects, designers, builders, developers and luxury brands all under one roof for an immersive experience unlike any other. Spanning over 100,000 square feet at the Toronto Congress Centre, this year’s show welcomed approximately 28,000 attendees, including more than 11,000 trade professionals, for a multi-day experience that blended design, hospitality, fashion and experiential storytelling.
As Show Director, I had the opportunity to help lead and execute this incredible production alongside an amazing team of collaborators, exhibitors, sponsors and industry leaders, all working together to create an unforgettable guest experience.
Creating More Than A Trade Show
One of the things that makes Living Luxe Design Show so unique is that it never feels like a traditional trade show. The moment guests walked through the doors, they were immersed in beautifully curated spaces designed to spark inspiration at every turn. From luxury kitchens and innovative home technology to bespoke furniture and custom home builders, every exhibitor brought their own vision to life.
The goal was to create an environment where guests could truly experience luxury living rather than simply browse products. Whether attendees arrived with plans to renovate their home, build their dream house or simply spend the weekend surrounded by incredible design, every space was thoughtfully designed to encourage discovery, conversation and connection.
Bringing Industry Leaders Together
A huge part of what makes Living Luxe so impactful is the calibre of talent that comes together for one incredible weekend.
Throughout the show, attendees had the opportunity to hear from some of the industry’s most recognized names, including Lori Morris, Ali Budd and Karim Rashid, as they shared insights, trends and perspectives that are shaping the future of luxury living.
The JennAir Stage became a hub for engaging conversations, educational programming and inspiring discussions that allowed attendees to learn directly from the people leading the industry. Beyond the stage, collaborations throughout the show floor created countless opportunities for meaningful interactions between brands, professionals and consumers alike.
Immersive Experiences Around Every Corner
One of my favourite things about Living Luxe is that every year presents an opportunity to think bigger.
Guests explored interactive activations, beautifully designed lounges and curated installations that transformed every corner of the show into an experience of its own. From the Lawrence Park Development and Amanda Aerin collaboration to luxury brand partnerships throughout the weekend, every detail was intentionally considered to elevate the guest journey.
In addition to the show floor, signature events like City Couture and the Living Luxe Awards Gala at Liberty Grand created opportunities to celebrate the incredible talent and innovation within the industry. These moments allowed guests and professionals to connect beyond the exhibition space and created an atmosphere that felt both elevated and approachable at the same time.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Living Luxe Design Show
One of the most exciting things about the Living Luxe Design Show is that it continues to evolve year after year. Each show presents an opportunity to introduce new ideas, showcase incredible talent and create even more immersive experiences for both exhibitors and attendees. As the world of luxury design continues to evolve, so does the vision behind the show, ensuring every year offers something fresh, inspiring and unforgettable.
Being part of an event of this scale is both an exciting challenge and an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a reminder that exceptional events don’t happen by chance. They are the result of months of collaboration, thoughtful planning and a shared passion for creating meaningful guest experiences. Seeing thousands of people come together to celebrate innovation, craftsmanship and luxury living is what makes the Living Luxe Design Show so special. If this year’s show was any indication of what’s to come, the future of the Living Luxe Design Show is brighter than ever, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
